A message
from Dr. Nero
In 1993 I started the Cat Clinic in order to focus on cats only. I probably
learned more about cats in my first year than in my first eight years in
mixed animal practice. During those years, my interest in cats peaked to the
point where I wanted to specialize in feline medicine. The Cat Clinic is the
fullfillment of my dream to treat cats in a quiet, comfortable environment.
Now, I spend all of my time on cats and not on the many different animals
that other veterinarians treat. This enables me to increase my knowledge of
cats in a way that working in a mixed practice does not. As feline medicine
evolves we embrace many new and exciting trends. For instance, we vaccinate
much less now. We are no longer declawing. We feed our cats better. We are taking advantage
of new diagnostic and treatment options. We have found an
insulin that actually works on cats! All of this gives us more and better
quality time with the best companion animal on the planet.
